Silver hoop earrings are versatile type of jewelry that is eminently affordable and fashionable. They are also quite versatile in the type of look you want to create ranging in sizes from shoulder dusters to small huggy type hoops that cling to your ear.

Before it was the gold hoop that was the basic item of jewelry in a woman’s wardrobe. Nowadays because the price of gold is so high, a gold hoop often has an entry level price point in the mid $200 range.

Perhaps eight years ago you would’ve been able to purchase a pair of white gold hoop earrings or yellow gold hoop earrings at an opening price point of $50 or $60.

This is no longer the case since gold hovers at the $1200 per ounce price point on the gold spot market. So silver is now the new gold and silver hoops are gaining in popularity as an essential part of the woman’s jewelry wardrobe.

Diamond and Sterling Silver Hoop Earrings
Diamond Silver hoop earrings have recently become quite popular because now diamond hoop earrings can occupy opening price points that are unheard of in today’s gold market.

One of the first companies that started mounting diamonds into sterling Silver was the company called Hot Diamonds.

This was at least eight years ago when mounting diamonds and sterling silver was considered heresy from a jeweler’s point of view.

Sterling silver at the time was not considered a very precious metal and was not considered worthy of mounting precious stones in it.

However now that the spot price of gold is over $1000 per ounce, it only makes sense from a jewelry retail point of view to Mount diamonds in sterling silver and create opening price points for diamond jewelry that are accessible to everyone.

Diamond Quality in Sterling Silver Earrings

Often men are to loss when they go out to buy diamond jewelry and are quite taken aback at the high prices that diamonds set in 14 carat gold and 18 karat gold command simply because gold is now double the price of what it was five years ago.

Sterling silver cubic zirconia earrings could be a viable alternative but not necessarily a good value for money. Although diamond prices have gone up some, it is nowhere near the rate at which gold prices have gone up.

Commercial quality diamonds in carat weights from two points to five points have remained steady in terms of pricing at retail.

So jewelry items like diamond sterling Silver hoop earrings have price points that are at least one quarter of the price of a similar item made out of gold.

So you can easily find a pair of one carat total weight sterling Silver diamond earrings for under $300.

Granted the diamonds will be of the highest quality and will have their share of inclusions and imperfections but it’ll still be a nice looking and glittery piece of diamond jewelry that a man can afford for his wife or girlfriend.

Sterling Silver Set With Diamonds Can Have The Same Look As White Gold

There are many types of diamond hoop earrings to be found if you’re shopping for a pair.

Women have their own preferences as far as diamond earring styles, more than likely she would prefer pave diamond silver hoops because of the way a pave setting emphasizes the scintillating nature of small diamonds catching light.

Sterling silver is just as easily set with diamonds in a pave style as gold is. Whatever types of diamond settings you see in gold hoop earrings can be achieved in sterling silver hoops earrings whether you are considering small or large silver hoop earrings.

The only limitation will be the cost factor since manufacturers are not like to put high-value, high quality diamonds suitable for diamond engagement rings and diamond wedding bands in gold into sterling Silver.

However it is still possible to find sterling Silver hoop earrings prong set with with two point to five point round diamonds just as you would find gold diamond hoop earrings set in a similar way.

This is a popular category and sterling silver earrings since women are always looking for better pricing on a high-quality diamond hoop earrings look without the expense of a precious metal like gold.

David Yurman silver hoop earrings

Silver hoop earrings achieve high style in David earing collections for women. His signature cable motif is what you commonly see in his hoop earring collection which are primarily plain sterling Silver and sterling silver paired with gold in a two tone style.

Of course his earing collections with gold are a bit pricier than the sterling silver but not so much because his pricing is more based on the fact that his jewelry is from a reputable designer as opposed to the actual materials used in the piece of jewelry.

His cable motif is well interpreted in his sterling Silver hoop earrings because hoops by their very nature are skinny circular pieces of metal that her good showcase for his cable finish.

The cable finish is nice because as the name suggests it is reminiscent of steel cable and with a bit of antiquing it exhibits a style and class that takes it beyond its simple origins in sterling silver.

Now all this famous designer needs to do is add a collection of mens silver hoop earrings using his signature cable motif that matches his new streamline collection of mens band rings.

A drop earring can be long and tapered like a shoulder duster earring or short and stubby depending on the desired look. Long drop earrings add to a slender neck and gives a graceful look to an evening gown. Short drop earrings may compliment a larger central jewelry piece like a bib necklace or a fringe necklace.

Pearl drop earrings are fairly common because pearls that are round or baroque shaped tend to make great end dangles on drop earrings. They are in effect the stylized handle at the end of the dagger. Drop earrings with pearls can come in a multitude of configurations. Some of the most popular are graduated pearl drop earrings with two or three pearls strung together separated by textured metal with the end pearl dangle being the largest. Some pearl drop earrings use a designed hoop from which to dangle a pearl drop like this earring from John hardy where the hoop can be worn by itself or with the pearl.

Diamond drop earrings are popular, especially when they take the format of the three stone graduated diamond earring. Diamond drops usually have a larger then life diamond at the very end of a shoulder duster type stiletto design. The diamonds can be bezel or prong set and are usually separated from the rest of the earring with a jump ring so that it can dangle freely and catch the light.

swaying, sparkly drop earrings are all about movement. Drop earrings sway more gracefully than chandelier and medallion earrings. Chandelier earrings are meant to shimmer and draw attention to themselves whereas drop earrings are meant to call attention to the gracefulness of a woman’s neck or her majestic hairstyle. In most cases you would not want to wear a standout necklace with an elaborate pair of gold drop earrings or silver drop earrings. The necklace would detract from the face and dress and call attention to the neck. If a necklace is to be worn it must be worn with only the simplest of earrings.

Sterling silver drop earrings are best exemplified in John Hardy’s collection of two tone sterling silver drop earrings like the one below.

Crystal drop earrings have a style of their own as young women who are into beading design many of these earrings along with such well known brands as Swarovsi and Nadri. These drop earrings use large faceted crystals in myriad of shapes from briolettes and rose cuts to geometric prisms. They are not really meant to look like diamond drop earrings but have a style of their own. Crystals come in a wide range of colors including black. Black drop earrings made from black crystal is all the rage since they are fairly inexpensive and still look like nice pieces of fashion jewelry. They also come in briolette shapes which is always a popular shape for tear drop earrings.

White gold drop earrings are typically in the pave diamond style with a prominent design in pave diamonds at the end of the drop. Sometimes the center stone of the drop is a diamond and at others it may be a precious colored stone like emerald or sapphire. Semi precious stones are also used in this type of design, notably bright colored stones like amethyst, blue topaz and citrine.

Who could forget the massive pair of Angelina Jolie emerald earrings worn by yours truly to the 2009 academy awards? The other worldly earrings are the perfect shade of green and there is hardly any metal embellishment on the earrings.

It is a pair of all emerald drop earrings with what looks like cushion shaped emerald stud earrings on a post with a massive pear shaped emerald dangling from it. Check out this pair to the left from Amazon.

Also see the selection listed below of similar dangle emerald earrings in different sizes from petite on up from the specialty online store Emitations.

With a specific gravity of 2.72 emerald is less dense than diamond and is half as dense as cubic zirconia which is a monumental 5.8. Also you would have to consider the fact that these emeralds are not cut deep as would the cubic zirconias meant to imitate them.

So CZ imitation would be more than double the weight so I would think twice before contracting Emitations to knockoff this pair for you. Your earlobes would be positively stretched.

If Angelina's earrings tip the scales at 35 to 40 carats your Emitation lobe stretchers would be at least 120 carats which translated into grams would be approx 12 grams per side. Trust me, 12 grams of whatever hanging from your earlobe is going to hurt something fierce after a half hour or so of wear.

Normally you would expect a really flashy pair of green earrings to be something like a really fancy pair of emerald and diamond earrings. You know the kind I'm talking about. Usually it will be a rather large emerald center stone that is either emerald, cushion, oval or pear shaped surrounded by a blaze of very white and clean diamonds.

As Emerald diamond earrings go though, this type of look is a dime a dozen and would certainly not be worthy of the red carpet unless the earrings are antiques.

In Angelina's case, the show stopper is the fact that the oversized patches of green on her ears are genuine Colombian emeralds that are as close to perfectly matched in size, shape, quality and color as you could possibly get. This is extremely difficult to do with Colombian material because there is such a variation in color and clarity across the production from the Colombian emerald mines.

All the more reason to showcase the beauty of the emerald and leave the gold out of it. If you notice, the gold prongs are barely visible as are the jump ring connectors that connect the pear shaped emeralds. This is deliberate so that every square millimeter of those stones is visible for maximum impact. The gold used appears to be 14k yellow.

Yellow gold definitely looks better with the sweeter green tones in the Colombian material as opposed to white gold which looks better with the steely gray overtones of the Zambian material. Yellow gold emerald earrings will therefore be more than likely to have the Colombian or even the Brazilian emerald material instead of the Zambian.

With a specific gravity of 2.72 emerald is less dense than diamond and is half as dense as cubic zirconia which is a monumental 5.8. Also you would have to consider the fact that these emeralds are not cut deep as would a cubic zirconias meant to imitate them. The fashion earring has come a long way from merely accessorizing to actually being the center of attention on the red carpet to the point where necklaces are not necessary. Check out the Loree Rodkin dangle earrings that Michelle Obama wore on election night without a necklace. They are now in display at the Smithsonian.

It seems that fashion jewelry earrings have taken centre stage on the red carpet and in the ordinary woman’s makeover as designers ramp up their earrings for scale and panache so that they have the attention grabbing power normally reserved for over the top necklace pieces. Women who are a bit more mature like to hide the fact that they are developing fine lines in the neck area if not outright folds. Necklaces can call attention to these harbingers of age instead of detracting from them so many women have opted for dramatic earrings instead.

Fashion hoop earrings come in all manner of designs. They can be the basic lines of a hoop earring or something more elaborate like these bamboo derived creations from John Hardy. It is an elaborate dramatic design that has a lot of motion and character. Also they are forward facing and in the current trend towards concentric shapes with a natural texture and finish. Add that to the fact that they retail for $295 and you have a clear winner for value and style as far as cheap fashion earrings go.

Diamond fashion earrings range from high design like the pair that Michelle Obama wore on election night which would have costed untold thousands to 10 point total carat weight on ear earrings in sterling silver for $55. They may not be fashionable earrings as far as high brow diamond earrings go but they certainly are reasonably priced. Check these diamond earrings with very tiny diamonds set in an almost channel like sterling silver setting selling for $85. Of course diamonds in gold is now in a whole different price bracket than it used to be a few years back when gold was between $400 and $600 per ounce.

Gold fashion earrings have gone upscale since the metal itself is now double what it used to be in terms of price. I mean, how much more hollow can you make an earring before it becomes too thin to have any durability. Instead gold has had a bit of a resurgence in the colors that are now available. The popularity of chocolate pearls and chocolate diamonds has also washed onto gold where chocolate gold is now available in gold earring hoops. Rose gold and chocolate gold can also be seen together for a more exotic take on the plain gold hoop of yester year. Big fashion earrings are very much in and gold hoops have gotten steadily larger as adult women have begun adopting some of the oversized hoop trends pioneered by their teenage daughters. Of not all young adolescents and teenagers would be able to afford these gold hoops so silver fashion earrings in various styles and sizes have taken over the lower priced segment from the traditional gold hoop earrings.

Fashion chandelier earrings are for every type of woman. Women with faces of a longer shape can compliment their face with chandelier earrings that become wider towards the ends. Women who have faces of a rounder more full nature would do well to wear earrings that are oblong in shape which gives the impression of having a less round face just like the way a vertically striped dress will give the impression of height to a woman who is short and rotund. nevertheless bold and dangly chandelier earrings are wonderful additions to all manner of dress whether formal or informal as are long and elegant shoulder dusters like this pair of art deco style designer fashion earrings on Debra Messing that are probably three and a half inches or longer

Although garnet varieties occur in many colores from red through orange to yellow and green, the most popular color is the brownish red almandine garnet variety.

garnet stud earrings are the most common type for January’s birthstone. Almandine garnet is fairly inexepensive and so many different shapes apart from the basic round used for studs are available. Other Coomonly seen cuts are cushion, pear and emerald cut. Almandine garnet is a clean stone as well as hard and offers good durability for use as studs. Brilliance is also good when almandine garnet is of a lighter tone.

Silver garnet earrings come in a wide assortment. Inexpensive silver combined with almandine garnet allows for scale in a silver earring design since you will only be restricted by the weight of the earring as it approaches a level where it would be uncomfortable for the average woman to wear. Antique garnet earrings designs work well in sterling because this metal can be blackened to give a vintage look.Usually garnet is paired with lighter colored stones like rose quartz and amber because these colored stones are more complimentary to the darkened red color of almandine.

Garnet drop earrings are quite popular in sterling silver, especially with small faceted or cabochon round garnet beads that form the the middle of the drop. Usually its the cheaper garnet family gems like almandine that are used as cabochons and beads in silver fashion earrings. The other more expensive varieties like tsavorite are frequently faceted into traditional gem cuts to be used as centers stones because tsavorite costs upwards of $30 per carat on the retail market. Tsavorite and the more expensive malaia and color change garnets are more used in garnet gold earrings rahter than sterling silver garnet earrings.

Gold is running at over $850 an ounce and so the practice of less expensive gem stones that were mounted in gold settings when gold was $400-$600 an ounce has pretty much stopped. The only time this happens is when designer jewelry pieces require the inexpensive gemstone for color purposes. In any event, the pricing of designer jewelry like David Yurman goes beyond the mere cost of the jewelry materials. It doesn’t really matter what gemstones are used in high end designer pieces since the designer label itself will command a healthy premium.

Chandelier earrings came to popularity in the last few years and garnet chandelier earrings are particularly intriguing because of the huge variety of shapes that almandine garnet can be cut into without concern for cost or wastage. The chandlier earrings shown incorporate marquise and square shaped garnets which add a lot of dimensionality to the earring as aopposed to using the standard round or cusion cut shapes that more expensive gemstones are cut in to save weight.

garnet dangle earrings like the garnet and emerald earrings below is a good color combination. The emeralds are small and light in color and contrast beautifully with the larger oval shaped garnet stones in the setting. Notice that the garnets are faceted and are lighter in color than normal for almandite garnet. This is because this shade goes well with the light green of the emeralds.

Garnet hoop earrings are popular in silver but see the image where the gold hoop has small round pyrope or rhodolite garnets set on the edge. This color goes wonderfully with the yellow gold and being more expensive than almandite garnet makes it a good fir for gold in a generic design like this one.

Jadeite is one of two minerals commonly referred to as jade. The other mineral is called nephrite however they both look close to the same thing and it is impossible to tell the difference between the two without examination of their spectra lines, specific gravity, or refractive index. Jade earrings may be made from either material and not much effort is made in the trade to identify one from the other nor is much effort spared to identify dyed vs not dyed material.

most of the jade you see in the budget jewelry has most probably been dyed or enhanced by with dye to produce different colors. Natural colors include apple green and dark green to black, light purple, reddish orange, gray and brown. There is also dyed jade that is not representative of any of the natural colors of jade like the Tacori blue bridal hairpin created especially for Anne Hathaway’s character in the film “Bride wars” with five faceted turquoise blue jade petals that encircle a white topaz gem stone set in sterling silver.

A jade earring can thus come in a multitude of colors, usually they are cabochon cut but may also be faceted like the hairpin described above. Jade is abundant in larger sizes but for earrings they are usually small cabochons or carvings because they are heavy stones and so when designing them into earrings you have to take comfort into consideration. Jade is also formed into beads and used to make wire earrings like the sort that you see in beading magazines and craft magazines.

All it takes is some silver wire and various types of jade like moss in snow jade, kingfisher jade and Yunan jade. Green jade earrings are quite popular because the green shades found in jade go well with sterling silver. Jade hoop earrings are also popular because they are reminiscent of the familiar Chinese disc shaped jade that look like a flattened donut with a hole in the middle. Jade stud earrings are usually made from matching jade cabochons although I have seen many small matching jade carvings made into stud earrings.

Jade is a much tougher gem than most others because of its mono clinic crystal system which does not cleave that easily when stress is applied to the jade. This makes jade ideal for carving because it can take an enormous amount of shock from grinding implements without shattering. Some of the best looking jade drop earrings are the ones where the jade piece dangling at the end of the earring is a beautifully carved Buddha, dragon or serpent.

In earrings some women prefer various jade colors over others so there is quite a variety from red jade earrings, lavender jade earrings, to pink jade earrings and yellow jade earrings. You will often find the different colors combined into one earring. Some of the popular combinations include green jade and black jade along with white jade and orangey red jade as multiple dangling beads hanging off of silver wire. Pink jade is often combined with purple jade, white jade and apple green jade for a more pastel colored look. Intensely colored purple jade earrings are obviously color dyed but look great faceted or as cabochons.

Shopping for a ruby or a matched pair of rubies for ruby earrings can be quite a challenge because there is a lot of range when it comes to the red color that we associate with ruby gemstones. Some women prefer stoplight reds whereas other women like to see more of a crimson red. But most ruby lovers will agree that they look for rubies that has a very low purple component. Commercial rubies of low quality tend to have distinct purple overtones that most ruby lovers do not care for.

Most women prefer an overtone of orange rather than purple because the purple darkens the hue and the red becomes more muted. With an orange overtone the ruby will at least be brighter. Matching stones is always critical when choosing a ruby earring. Ruby stud earrings that are more than a carat per side are prone to being mismatched since not only do you have match the hues you also have to match the clarity and rubies can vary quite widely in terms of clarity.

Ruby and diamond earrings have a bit more going on and so it is not that important for rubies to exactly match since the diamond accents tend to attract the attention more to the overall look of the earring rather then the ruby itself whether its ruby drop earrings or something as elaborate as ruby chandelier earrings. The most popular style diamond ruby earrings is the on ear jacketed stud look where you have a half carat or bigger ruby surrounded by diamonds that goes on like a stud. Because the center stones are prominent and are usually a bit raised from the rest of the setting, it may be crucial in this situation to make sure that the stones match since they are so visible.

This is also the case with white gold ruby earrings. Traditionally gold ruby earrings have always been in yellow gold, but with the surging popularity of white gold you see rubies set in white gold much more often now. The white metal background really sharpens the hue of the ruby red color making it much easier to discern. In this case also its best to make sure that your rubies match even if they are just tiny studs.

Genuine ruby earrings can refer to several different things when it comes to simple marketing of jewelry. Usually the term “genuine” in this case means that the ruby has been mined from the earth and is not lab created. However this does not mean that the ruby has not been heat treated to improve color and clarity. A ruby stud earring pair will always be difficult to match if the rubies have not been treated in any way which would be extremely rare. You have to assume that all rubies have been heat treated in some way whether its to improve the color or get rid of prominent rutile inclusions.

Shopping for a ruby or a matched pair of rubies for ruby earrings can be quite a challenge because there is a lot of range when it comes to the red color that we associate with ruby gemstones. Check out the splendid ruby earrings to the right. The color is fabulous but as you can see they have inclusions and this if fairly typical of even expensive matched rubies like these.

The only way to get perfectly matched rubies that are clean is to use synthetic rubies like this pair of earrings to the right.

From the lowly simple silver hoop earring to the high fashion two tone designs available from designers like Sara Blaine , Judith Jack and Judith Ripka, silver hoops have taken the high road and with great price points show no sign of slowing down.

Silver stud earrings from designers like David Yurman is often paired with semi precious stones like blue topaz and citrine and incorporate safety features in the posts and back so that his earrings are more securely fastened to your ear. Many of his stud earrings now use french backs because of his use of large stones and silver work make it difficult to get a secure fit with just a post and clutch. With his signature cable designs and two tone mixtures his sterling silver hoop earrings with the criss cross motif is a bestselling design. The hoops are lightweight but voluminous and these for the most port use posts instead of french backs to secure them. His silver drop earrings across various collection also use posts and clutches.

The silver earring has taken quite step forward design wise with the use of blackened silver as a major styling element that adds both character and panache to earrings. Designers like Judith Ripka generally do not use blackened silver. Her silver chandelier earrings feature designs with extensive detailed work in an Etruscan styling as do her silver dangle collections and is more suited for a bright white finish that will not detract from the texture of her pieces. Other designers like Sara Blaine and Diana Heimann on the other hand use blackened silver extensively in their collections and have made it part of their signature style in some their best selling 925 silver earrings collections..

These types of sterling silver earrings catch the light at every turn and are perfect for day-to-evening wear. They can be simple clip ons with a french back that hug the ear or they can dangle in free moving disc elements that rotate and attract a lot of attention. They can also be combined with diamond or pearls for a classy look without the high price.

Where would lovely ladies be without the ubiquitous hoop. It is at once the standard safe bet for office wear and by adding charm it transforms into a fashion statement. Gold hoops used to be the standard but with the spot price of gold at $900 plus your standard half inch hoop in white or yellow gold is going to be priced at the $200 – $250 mark for the most basic pair of gold hoop earrings. Sterling silver hoop earrings have indeed taken over since improvements in the silver alloy allows for as fine a polish and look as white gold. Vermeil earrings have also made strong showing with the rising interest in yellow gold.

Sterling silver cubic zirconia hoop earrings is a viable alternative to white gold and diamond hoops. Women lose earrings all the time and it is quite painful to lose one side of your inside out diamond hoops that can cost in excess of $2500 for a 2 carat pair. large silver hoop earrings on the other hand if they’re set with cubic zirconias in the same way as the gold ones look identical and have the same flash and swing that the gold ones do. It’s not surprising that large sterling silver hoop earrings sell at department stores like they are going out of style. Pricing is usually quite reasonable hovering around the $40 to $80 range depending on the size of the hoop. the small silver hoop earrings can be as low as $30 if they are the simple huggy style of earring with 6 or so cz stones. Silver heart hoop earrings have become popular as well with the younger teenage crowd. they often receive then as sweet sixteen gifts or birthday gifts.

Silver oval hoop earrings are a bit more formal and understated. Many women sport short bob haircuts and prefer the elegance of oval hoops because they add length to their face. Women with round faces and short haircuts love these types of hoops and even get then with inside out set cubic zirconias. The sterling silver oval hoop earrings also do not show mismatched ears as readily as round ones do. When earlobes point in different direction bigger rounder hoops tend to magnify this because their unevenness is more visible.

Mens silver hoop earrings are sold for the same reason. Many men like to wear small wide hoops in white gold or platinum and though they would look fine if they lost one hoop many men prefer to wear two hoops together. So men like plain silver hoops to take the place of their gold hoops when they are going to places and occasions that may result in the loss of a hoop. Earring hoop catches can be quite insecure if they are not well designed. They are usually friction based with a post fitting into a plier like loop that secures the post. the problem is that after some wear and tear the whole mechanism loosens up and allows the possibility of the earring slipping off without you knowing.

Sterling silver earrings as a category has been enlivened by the wealth of new designs now available to address the lower price points that gold earrings has now left behind. For kids in their early teens sterling silver jewelry satisfies, especially since they are able to purchase it for themselves. Sterling silver is also easy for adults to bur for kids because the price points won’t make them feel like they are spoiling their kids yet they can purchase something trendy in sterling silver drop earrings with pearls or sterling silver hoop earrings from various designers.

They can buy great looking pieces for themselves as well without breaking the bank or feeling guilty for a little bit of self indulgence. Silver earrings also make great gifts for sweet sixteen birthdays, bat mitzvahs or as gifts from boyfriends like sterling silver heart earrings. Trends change so quickly that its easy for young adults to keep up with silver jewelry because with gold jewelry it would be quite impossible for them at current gold prices. Sterling silver is also a great way for young adults to learn to care for their jewelry. While gold is a noble metal and does not tarnish, silver can tarnish after some time when its not rhodium plated. Rhodium keeps silver looking great but after a couple of years you may need to get the piece re plated to maintain that crisp white look. Some sterling silver is designed to have the raw silver look and may even have some antiquing applied to it. As long as they are worn on a regular basis and routinely polished with a soft silver polishing cloth they will look great as is.

Sterling silver earrings are a big part of the collections of major designers like David Yurman and Judith Ripka. Judith Ripka has a wide collection of different styles in sterling and yellow gold with her signature yellow crystal stone in all manner of sterling silver dangle earrings and sterling silver chandelier earrings like her two tone garland collection and the fabulous triple circle drop earrings with your choice of blue, pink or yellow crystal. Sterling silver pearl earrings from Daring Diamonds are a hit with conservative women because of the sophistication that diamonds bring to sterling silver and pearls.

Sterling silver stud earrings with blue topaz and amethyst have been a big hit since this brings the price of semi precious stone simple stud earrings in the $30 to $50 level as opposed to the $100 and up level when gold mountings are used. Some women want the quiet dignified look of studs but don’t necessarily want to wear diamond studs. They want to be able to don a more casual look and have their stud earrings fit the part and be a participating accessory in that look they are trying to create. Some women like the big chunky looks of earrings that have large 4 carat and up semi precious stones mounted in 925 sterling silver earrings. They sometimes prefer a more costume jewelry look with sterling silver clip earrings when they are accessorizing for specific occasions like kids birthdays. They would rather wear something colorful and playful that doesn’t cost over $100.
